Bhat asked the Government to start direct dialogue with YAIKS leadership, who are pioneer in reconnecting the displaced youth back to their land and origin, failing which they will be forced to launch agitation.
The convention appealed Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to take the cognizance of the issue of unemployed Left Over Candidates (LOC). YAIKS said whosoever is ready to work in Kashmir Valley under PM’s rehabilitation scheme, should be provide jobs as per their eligibility rather to merit. The Government should also sanction the quota against 25000 retired KP employees during the migration period of 32 years. GOI should reserve 3% to 5% jobs for displaced youth in Central Government departments and educational institutions. “We further appeal to Lt. Governor to resolve the long pending demand of over aged section of the community who are the first victim of displacement”.
The convention asked Lt. Governor to sanction 15000 more jobs and onetime special compensation for 15000 overaged youth of the community who could not take any benefit of PM,s rehabilitation scheme. “We further demand a special recruitment drive in State Police and in central sponsor security forces for those youth who couldn’t get higher education due to their displacement”.
