Jammu Sept 2: The Rashtriya Rifles battalion, located at Nachlana, under the aegis of Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) organised an Essay Writing and Painting Competition at the Government Higher Secondary School, Khari in District Ramban, today.
The theme of Essay Writing Competition was ‘Khelon Ki Ahmiyat’ in vernacular language and ‘Way to Success for J & K’ in English. The theme of the Painting Competition was ‘Natural Beauty of J&K’ and ‘Development of J&K’. Students of seven schools of District Ramban participated in the competition. The competition not only encouraged the students but also provided them the much needed platform to express their feelings, creativity and ideas for the development of the State.
The participants of the competition were facilitated for their interest and creativity, in which the best three essays and paintings in both the groups were awarded prizes and other 10 ten essays and painting were bestowed with medals for the excellent work. The competition in itself was a grand success as it instilled the feeling of oneness and created a firm foundation for identifying budding artists and development of their minds.
