2 drug peddlers nabbed by police, 130 grams of charas seized

KATHUA, May 9: Kathua police today recovered approximately 130 grams of Charas in the jurisdictional area of Police Station (PS) Bani near Lowang Helipad and arrested two persons in this connection.
Police said that on the overall directions of SSP Kathua, R.C Kotwal – a police team of Police Post (PP) Lowang led by Sub Inspector, Mohammad Toheed Khan incharge PP Lowang under the supervision of SDPO, Basohli Ms. Shazia Akhter during patrolling duty near Lowang Helipad area noticed the movement of two suspicious persons who were enrouted towards Helipad ground by foot.
On their physical search, approximately 130 grams of charas was recovered from their possession. They were identified as Usman Ahmed, son of Ghulam Fareed and Ghulam Fareed son of Abdul Rehmat both residents of Qilla Mohalla Bhaderwah.
All the recovered narcotics substance was seized and two persons were arrested. A case vide FIR No. 31/2022 U/S 8/20/29/NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bani and further investigation was set into motion.
