While speaking on the occasion, Maj Gen Jamwal applauded the efforts and dedication of Brig Raj Singh in setting up this unique institution to train the youth for the belt forces of India. The League has provided all the facilities, accommodation, training areas etc so that the youth of the State can be trained and guided to join the armed forces, para-military forces  and the State police.
Maj Gen (Retd) Jamwal also  interacted with the students undergoing training to join belt forces.  He advised the students to take full advantage of the training programme to accomplish their goals of joining prestigious Armed Forces. The academy is dedicated to the youth so that they get training  and guidance at very reasonable and affordable costs. He said that training is so well organised that even a raw youth from a remote village can hope to become jawan at his own and also aspire to become an officer in the Armed forces. He complimented Brigadier (Retd) R S Jamwal, director of the academy   for the noble idea of  imparting physical fitness and written coaching to the youth who desire to join Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, ITBP, CISE and Police.
Brig Jamwal also spoke on the occasion and said that this idea came to him  when he visited his village Suchani and found the youth whiling away their time in cards and gossips without being aware of the future. He said the youth of this region move to Delhi, Chandigarh or Dehradun for getting coaching spending so much money. For this purpose, Lakshya Institute was set up at Rajinder Vihar Colony in Samba district.
