UDHAMPUR, Sept 3: Regional Under-14 and Under-19 Kabbadi Sports Meet for girls was inaugurated by chief guest, DIG, Garib Dass Kaith and Assistant Commissioner Usha Shamindra, guest of honour at KV No-1, here today.
9 teams are participating in Under-14 event, while 11 teams are taking part in Under-19 event.
The chief guest and the guest of honour were welcomed by the NCC Scouts and Guides in an impressive and well attended function.
After lighting of lamp, a colourful cultural programme was presented by the students of KV No-1 Udhampur.
School Principal, Dr R Prasad welcomed the guests, teams and escorts on the occasion.
Flag hoisting was followed by March Past of different teams representing their Vidyalayas.
Assistant Commissioner, Usha Shamindra in her address said that Indians have lot of potential to achieve the targets in all fields of life.
