JAMMU, Sept 5: As a part of national initiative, NIIT Jammu in collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited started a free computer training programme at Oriental Academy School for the students of class 10th and 11th.
Rahul Sharma, CEO and Director of the NIIT Jammu Franchisee Company launched the scheme and stated that 5 computers will be give free of cost together with software to the school.
NIIT will also provide free of cost complete learning material covering windows, computer overview, MS-office and internet, he added.
A trained teacher will also be provided for imparting necessary training, he said, adding that management of the school will have to schedule 2 periods every day for training of its students.
Vivek Chouhan, Administrator, Oriental Academy School also expressed his views.
