SRINAGAR, Sept 5: Powered by a swashbuckling knock of 153 runs by Rubia Syed, Government Women’s College Anantnag registered an easy win over Ganderbal Women’s College in the match of the ongoing Cricket Tournament at Government Women’s College, M A Road, here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Rubia Syed, an all-rounder from Government Women’s College Anantnag scored an unbeaten 153 runs, thus helping her team to score mammoth total of 258 runs in 20 overs. Fancy Jan also scored 30 runs.
In reply, Fancy Jan’s brilliant bowling helped her team to bundle out the rivals on 58 runs, thus won the match by a huge margin of 200 runs.
The Under-19 Cricket Tournament is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association for college going students.
