KV Srinagar lifts U-19 boys cricket title

JAMMU, Sept 6: Defeating KV-1 Amritsar convincingly in the summit-clash, the formidable side of KV-1 Srinagar lifted the title trophy in Under-19 boys cricket tournament as part of the 44th KVS Regional Sports Meet at Kendriya Vidyalaya, No-2 Jammu Cantt, here today.
Earlier, in the semifinals, KV Amritsar got better of KV-2 Jammu Cantt, while KV Srinagar defeated KV Jyotipuram.
By being winners, KV Srinagar bagged gold, while the runners-up team KV-1 Amritsar clinched silver and KV-2 Jammu Cantt claimed bronze.
15 schools drawn from Jammu region participated in the event.
M Laxmi Narayana, Principal, KV-2 Jammu Cantt was the chief guest on the occasion, while Bollywood actor, Ajay Paul Singh Andotra presided over the valedictory function.
The chief guest and the other dignitaries felicitated the winners on the occasion.
Archana Sharma was the organizing secretary of the event, while vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal of the School, Mohit Gupta.
