J&K Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament concludes

BANI (Kathua), May 28: BNCC Duggan defeated BABACC by 34 runs in finals of week-long J&K Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament and lifted the title, organised by Jwala Mata Cricket Club along with Dr Rameshwar Singh, ZMO Koti Chandyar at Daggar village, here today.
Dr Rameshwar Singh was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and appealed to the children and youth of the area to make sports part of their daily routine for achieving a healthy body and mind.
More than 40 teams from different areas of Bani and also from outside Bani participated in the aforesaid cricket tournament that was played in cool weather amid beautiful surroundings.
Dr Rameshwar Singh appreciated the players for displaying sportsmanship of the highest order. He lauded the Jai Jwala Mata Cricket Club for organizing the sports programmes and tournaments in the remote and far flung areas of the region and encouraging youth to display their sports talent.
Dr Rameshwar Singh thanked the members of the organizing committee of the tournament including Mansa Ram (Retd Army jawan), Kuldeep Singh and Ankit Thakur for bestowing him the honour of being the chief guest of the function.
