SRINAGAR, May 29: Pencak Silat District Srinagar Championship, organised by District Pencak Silat Association, concluded at Polo Ground Indoor Sports Complex, here today.
The event was sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir sports Council which was part of the ongoing special sports initiative ‘My Youth My Pride’.
Around 360 athletes from different Schools and Clubs participated in the event in pre-teen boys and girls, sub junior boys and girls, junior boys and girls, besides senior men and women.
Mufti Hamid Yasin, Secretary General Indian Pencak Silat Federation was the chief guest. He distributed medals among the champions and runners up, while Manager Indoor Sports Hall Polo Ground Srinagar, Mohammad Iqbal was the guest of honour.
The event was graced by all the office bearers of the Association.
