JAMMU, Sept 9: Koushal of BSF Paloura clinched gold in Under-19 boys 100 Mtr sprint race in the Jammu District Inter-School Athletic Meet, which got underway at Jammu University Ground, her today.
Partap Singh of St Xavier School bagged silver in this race, while the bronze went to Rakesh Singh of MHAC Nagbani.
Around 750 boys drawn from various Government and Private institutions of Jammu District participated in this Meet which is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu.
Inderjeet Singh of APS Miran Sahib bagged Under-17 boys 100 Mtr gold, while the silver and bronze in this event went to Kajal Singh of MHAC Nagbani and Rajinder Kumar of HS Gajansoo.
Under-14 boys 100 Mtr gold was bagged by Sajjad Hussain of HS Sagoon, while Sahil Kumar of MS Sohagani and Shubam of APS Kalu Chak claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 600 Mtr Under-14 boys, Shubam of APS Kalu Chak, Ajay Kumar of HS Sagoon and Keshav Singh of MHAC Nagbani clinched gold, silver and bronze respectively, while in 800 Mtr Under-17 boys, Parvez Ahmed of HS Barui, Rajat Singh of MRLD and Wajid Ali of BSF Paloura bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 800 Mtr Under-19 boys, Yash Pal Singh of MHAC Nagbani got gold, while Karan Pal Singh of HSS Sohal and Parveen Kumar of BSF Paloura clinched silver and bronze medals respectively.
5000 Mtr Under-19 boys gold went to Shubam Singh of APS Domana, silver to Rohan Sharma of MHAC Nagbani and bronze to Ankit Raina of BSF Paloura, while in Shotput Under-19 boys, Rehan Ali of HSS Bishnah bagged gold, while silver and bronze in this event went to Vishal Gandotra of HSS Akhnoor and Sairabalam Bhat of HSS Jodhamal.
In Shotput Under-17 boys, Ajay of HS Kalu Chak claimed gold, Imran Khan of HS Gajansoo clinched silver and Sahil Mehra of HS Kotli Sha Doula bagged bronze, while in Shotput Under-14 boys, the gold, silver and bronze medals went to Pulkit, Gurpreet Singh of MRLD and Javid Ahmed of MS Bye Pass Nagrota.
Long-jump Under-19 boys gold went to Deepak Yadav of APS, Koushal of BSF Paloura and Yashpal of MHAC Nagbani bagged silver and bronze respectively, while in Long-jump Under-17 boys, Rajinder Kumar of HS Gajansoo bagged gold, while Dheeraj Sharma of HS Sohal and Sahil Kumar of MHAC Nagbani claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.
In Long-jump Under-14 boys, Sahil Kumar of HS Sohagani bagged gold, while silver and bronze medals went to Mohd Akram of KB Public and Ankit Singh of MRLD respectively.
The events were officiated by Nirmal Singh, Chamel Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Ram Murti, Vijay Kumar, Chanderveer Singh, Rohit Gupta, Vishal Bharti, Vaneet Pangotra, Satika and Harpreet Bhalla.
