JAMMU, June 10: Ajaz Ahmed Choudhary, hailing from Kallar Mohra border belt of Mendhar, Poonch has been appointed as All India Secretary, Indian Youth Congress (IYC).
He is the second person from Pir Panjal area to be placed at this post. The appointment was made by AICC president Sonia Gandhi on the recommendation of Krishna Allavaru, joint secretary, AICC incharge Youth Congress and Srinivas BV, National president IYC.
Earlier, Ajaz Choudhary was State vice president, Youth Congress J&K. He also remained as State secretary PYC, Lok Sabha general secretary and first elected president AYC Mendhar. He remained as NSUI state secretary. He has worked as Assembly incharge during Assembly elections in different states like Delhi, Bihar, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
Belonging to the tribal community of J&K, Ajaz Choudhary is the son of Haji Mohd Sharief, former Sarpanch and president BCC Balakote.
