Saarthak wins men’s title in Gulrez tennis

JAMMU, June 9: Saarthak Jain continued his brilliance and drubbed Deepak Singh Chib in two straight sets by 6-0, 7-5 in best of three contest in the summit clash, to lift the title trophy in the men’s singles event of the Jammu District Gulrez Memorial Lawn Tennis Tournament at Police Lines Gulshan ground, here.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Dilbag Singh was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Saujanya Sharma, Joint Director Information and DIG JP Singh were the guests of honour.
The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners of various events on the occasion.
The championship was organized in the memory of Gulrez Singh by the Friends Tennis Club, under the auspices of J&K Lawn Tennis Association under the supervision of Vikram Gupta and Gourav Arora.
