JAMMU, June 13: Voluntary blood donation camp was organized jointly by Group Center Central Reserve Police Force Jammu and ICICI Foundation (ICICI Skill Development Center) at Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Shakti Nagar, here today.
The camp was inaugurated by the chief guest Bhanu Pratap Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Group Center, CRPF, Jammu.
Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG Group Center CRPF Jammu in his address said that blood donation is a great work. It is a matter of happiness and pride for us to organize the camp. Donating blood is like giving life. Our blood donation saves many lives. Any one of us can be the victim of accident and disease unintentionally. Therefore, all of us should give our invaluable cooperation in the noble cause of blood donation. There is no weakness due to blood donation, rather everyone must donate blood only once, it helps the needy as well as keeps the body healthy, Singh added.
In the discharge of this social duty, officers and personnel of Group Center CRPF Jammu and ICCI Foundation (ICICI Skill Development Center) and Women Polytechnic College, Shakti Nagar participated enthusiastically in the blood donation camp.
The camp was conducted with the special cooperation of doctors of GMCH Jammu and Composite Hospital, CRPF.
On the occasion, Dr M Nakkikaran, Chief Medical Officer (SG) Composite Hospital, CRPF, Jammu, Sumit Verma, Deputy Commandant, Rajesh Kumar Deputy Commandant, Harish Kumar, Assistant Commandant, Group Center CRPF Jammu and Nitin Kochhar, Chief Manager, other support personnel, members of ICICI Foundation and subordinate officers of Group Center CRPF Jammu, jawans gave full cooperation.
