SAMBA, June, 14: Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr.Abhishek Mahajan, District Police Samba has arrested a drug peddler and recovered about 10 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
A police party of Police Post (PP) Rajpura while performing patrolling duty, intercepted one person roaming under suspicious circumstances near village Malani, Rajpura.
During his frisking, approximately 10 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance was recovered from his possession which was wrapped in a transparent polythene. The accused has been arrested and contraband item has been seized.
He has been identified as Teg Ali, son of Sheru Din of Lani, tehsil, Rajpura district Samba.
A Case FIR No 87/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
