DODA, Sept 12: Pensioners Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Akhter Hussain and discussed various problems being faced by them.
While speaking, Akhter Hussain demanded payment of 6th Pay Commission arrears, release of pending DA installment, merger of 50 per cent DA into basic pension as per central pattern, enhancement of medical allowances from Rs 300 to Rs 1,000 and 12 subsidized LPG cylinders for pensioners per year.
Among others present were Shakeel Ahmed, Dharam Singh Charak, Gul Mohammad, Abdul Rehman etc.
