UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Association, under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council, organized District Yoga Championship at Subash Stadium, here today.
Students of various schools participated in the Championship to vie for the top honours.
Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Udhampur was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed certificates and medals among the winners on the occasion.
Earlier, Poonam Devi bagged gold in 8 to 11 years girls, while Lachpat Raj clinched gold in 8 to 11 years boys.
In 11 to 14 years girls, Simran Devi, Neha Sharma and Suman Devi claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 11 to 14 years boys, the gold, silver and bronze medals went to Rahul Manotra, Satish Singh and Ankit Sharma respectively.
In 14 to 17 years girls, Anuradha Sharma claimed gold and silver and bronze medals went to Kamlesh Kumari and Monika Sharma, while in 14 to 17 years boys, Rahul Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar and Anil Kumar clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
Meanwhile, Devinder Singh bagged gold in 17 to 21 years girls, while Shamsher Singh claimed gold in 25 to 35 years men.
