CBI continues questioning Jagan in DA case

HYDERABAD, June 10:
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continued the questioning of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at its main office in koti area here today.
It had questioned him for over six hours yesterday in the disproportionate assets case against him.
The police custody of Jagan will end today as the Andra Pradesh High court had granted two more days of his custody yesterday.
After the grilling, till 1700 hrs this evening in the presence of his lawyers, the CBI will take him back to Chanchalguda jail as per the court orders.
Earlier, after getting High Court’s permission, the CBI had interrogated the Kadapa MP for six hours each for five days, but could not get the information they needed as the YSR Congress Chief was evasive and passed the buck on to others.
The CBI will produce the Kadaba MP in the Principal Special CBI court tomorrow as his 14-day remand, granted on May 28 a day after his arrest, would end.
The Court also issued two prisoner warrants against him Reddy and directed the Chanchaluda jail authorities where he was lodged to take necessary steps to produce him in the court, after it took cognisance of the second and the third charge sheets filed by the CBI in the illegal assets case. (UNI)
