JAMMU, Sept 19: District Jammu drubbed Poonch by (3-0) in the Divisional Level Inter-District Tournament in the disciplines of Table Tennis Under-19 boys and girls at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of its Director General Navin Aggarwal and under the overall supervision of Ved Parkash, Deputy Director, Jammu.
Earlier, in table tennis Under-19 boys, Jammu defeated Poonch by (3-0). Amvir Sharma of Jammu beat Gurjeet Singh of Poonch (7-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3), Sanmeet of Jammu outplayed Piyush Gupta of Poonch by (11-7, 11-5, 11-9) and Sanpreet Singh of Jammu trounced Vishav of Poonch by (11-6, 9-11, 11-5, 11-8).
Meanwhile, during the yoga competitions, the selected players included Anuradha of Udhampur, Monika Sharma of Udhampur, Kamlesh of Udhampur, Muskan Rajput of Jammu and Diksha of Jammu (all U-17 girls), Mitesh of Jammu, Sadam Hussain of Jammu, Akash Sharma of Jammu, Pardeem Khajuria of Jammu and Sanjeev of Udhampur.
In Yoga Under-19 boys, the selected players included, Ankleshwar of Jammu, Paras of Jammu, Deepanshu of Jammu, Vikrant of Jammu and Sanjeev of Udhampur.
