MENDHAR, July 30: At least seven persons were injured in a clash between two families at village Banola in Mendhar Sub division of Poonch District today.
According to Police, the bloody clash took place between the family members of Mohd Karamat and Mohd Rafiq, both residents of Banola in Mendhar, over an old dispute.
The eyewitnesses said that both the sides after heated arguments freely exchanged lathis and sharp edged weapons and also pelted stones on each other. The women members from both the sides also clashed and two of them sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to Mendhar hospital where three of them were later referred to GMC Hospital Rajouri for advanced treatment.
Police have registered a case in this connection at Police Station Mendhar and started investigation even as no arrest was made till filing of this report.
