JAMMU, July 31: Talab Tillo Police seized 36 rolls of banned Chinese thread and arrested one person.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Talab Tillo led by PSI Rajesh Kumar under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Vijay Kumar and DySP Headquarters Swati Sharma conducted raid and arrested a man, who selling banned Chinese thread.
During search, 36 rolls of banned Chinese thread were recovered from the possession of the arrested man, who was identified as Gourav Gupta, son of Rakesh Gupta, a resident of Talab Tillo District Jammu.
The arrest was made in violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads.
A case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
