SAMBA, Aug 2: A free orthopaedic camp was organized today at Vidhya Physiotherapy Clinic, Ramgarh.
The camp was organized by the Departments of Orthopaedics and Anaesthesia, ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Orthopaedic Association.
The camp was inaugurated by D K Manyal (Ex-MLA Samba), D K Batra (Secretary, ASCOMS) and Dr Rajesh K Gupta (Prof & Head, Orthpaedics, ASCOMS and president, J&K Orthopaedic Association). This camp was part of Bone & Joint Day activities.
Around 400 patients were examined in the camp by a team of Orthopaedic Surgeons namely Dr Shafiq Hackla, Dr Nitish Sharma, Dr Sunny Sharma and Dr Akshay Khajuria. Free medicines were also distributed to the needy patients. The patients were also screened for free surgeries which will be conducted at ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra.
Moreover, training to the general public on Basic Life Support was also given by a team of doctors including Dr Aman, Dr Owaise and Dr Aqib. A nukkad natak explaining Basic Life Support steps was also performed by the Interns of the Department of Orthopaedics.
