Bikram Club outplays Mohammedan XI by 4-1

BARAMULLA, Sept 23: Bikram Club drubbed Mohammedan XI by four goals to one (4-1) to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing Annual Senior District Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey J&K at Degree College Ground, here today.
Now, with the entry of Bikram Club in the semifinal, the semifinals lineup has been drawn in the Championship.
In the semifinals, Surjit Club will take on SAI North at the same venue tomorrow, while Bikram Club will lock horns with Singhpora Sports Club on September 25, 2013.
Earlier, Bikram Club managed to score first goal of the match in 19th minute through a penalty corner netted by Devinder Pal Singh, while Rajinder Singh Senior pelted the second goal in 23rd minute to increase the lead. The third goal was scored by Gurdeep Singh in 36th minute, while the 4th goal for Bikram Club was netted by Ajitpal Singh via penalty Corner in the 47th minute of the match. The lone goal for Mohammedan XI was scored by Mudassir Beigh in 59th minute of the match.
Meanwhile, Bikram Club got six penalty corners out of which they converted two, while Mohammedan XI failed to convert any of the two penalty corners they received into the goal.
