Shotokan Karate-Do Association organizes Training Seminar

MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia and players during 3-day Technical Seminar organised by Indo-Oman Shotokan Karate-Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

JAMMU, Sept 23: Indo-Oman Shotokan Karate-Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir organized 3-day Official and Technical Training Seminar from September 20 to September 22, 2013 at Udhampur.
Around 80 students drawn from Doda, Reasi, Udhampur, Akhnoor and Samba participated in the Seminar and were presented certificates and other prizes. Among the award winners, Brinder Singh and Madhu Devi from Reasi and Shabir Ahmed and Leela Devi from Doda were awarded with most disciplined students award.
MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking said that sports is a prime importance at the moment which creates awareness among the youth to keep them away from bad habits.
The Association distributed note-books, geometry boxes and other stationary items among the orphan children and clothes among the old age people through its chief guest Mr Mankotia.
The students were imparted training by a panel of experts including Ravinder Singh Jamwal,  chairman and technical director, while Ajay Kumar, Sandeep Bakshi, Ranjeet Sharma, Raveeta Sharma, Pooja Sharma, Surinder Dhar and Rahul Kumar were the organizers of the event.
