JAMMU, Sept 25: The match of exposure tour between Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) XI and Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) XI was evenly poised at stumps on day-1 of the 3-day MCA’s Bhausaheb Nimbalkar Trophy at Deccan Gymkhana in Pune today.
Earlier, batting first, MCA scored 253 runs in 64 overs, with Shubam Ranjane top scoring with 78 runs. Ganesh Kukade, Amol Chinte, Sunil Yadav and Vishant More contributed 58, 26, 25 and 22 runs to the total respectively. For JKCA, medium fast bowler, Umar Nazir was the most successful bowler, who scalped 3 wickets by conceding 55 runs in his 18 overs, while speedsters skipper Ramdayal Punia and Asif Rasool and wrist spinner Manik Gupta bagged 2 wickets each. Left-arm spinner Wasim Raza claimed one wicket.
In reply, J&K were 47 for the loss of 2 wickets when the stumps were drawn today. Opening batsman Ahmed Bandey was at the crease on 20 runs, while Owais Shah has yet to get off the mark. Adil Reshi (16) and Bandeep Singh (4) were the two batsmen dismissed.
