According to inmates of the township despite repeated pleas to the concerned authorities for last some years they failed to solve the water scarcity problem faced by the people in the township. Sunil Pandita a social activist alleged that the present water supply scheme in the township has totally turned a failure and people are facing lot of hardships due to water scarcity especially in the hot summer.
He said the Government failed to solve this problem though a proposal for construction of bore wells had since been mooted by the authorities to overcome the problem. He said the authorities have totally neglected the camp inmates of Jagti who are facing numerous problems like shortage of teachers in two camp schools, dearth of medicines and staff in Jagti hospital etc.
He said the problems where further compounded after the authorities stopped the ration to the relief holders for last some months with the result people dependent on cash relief are facing hardships as they are not in a position to purchase the ration from the market on exorbitant prices.
