RAJOURI, Aug 21: Authorities in Rajouri have sealed a chemist shop after recovery of banned tablets from the shop in violation of norms.
In an official statement, police said that a team of Police Station Rajouri with Drug Control Officer conducted a surprise inspection of M/S Royal Care Pharmacy Kheora in Rajouri.
Two person were found present in the shop who were identified as Vipal Bhasin and Rameez Raja.
During inspection, it was found that the accused were selling Eydol100 and DDTE100 (Tanpentadol) to the youth without prescription. During search, 156 tablets of Tanpentadol were seized by the Drugs Control Officer Rajouri.
Accordingly, police said, the premises has been sealed by the DCO Rajouri under Drug and Cosmetics Act 1940.
Police is taking action against people involved in drugs trade and a number of FIRs have been registered in past.
