JTC, SKF hold meeting, project demands

JAMMU, Aug 23: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of President Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the members, Pandita urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to directed Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department to ensure availability of ration at migrant depots, attach PM and non-PM package employees working in Kashmir to Relief Office Jammu and increase in monthly relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family.
He also demanded construction of 6,000 flats for PM package employees, announcement of 20,000 more jobs for Kashmiri migrant unemployed youth, release of pending ex-gratia relief of gutted houses, compensation to over aged youth, removal of illegally occupied land, properties and religious places and setting up of three townships in Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla to resettle Kashmiri Pandits.
The members in their speeches demanded political reservation of five assembly seats and three parliamentary seats for Kashmiri Pandits with minority status.
