UT level Ranking Badminton tournament concludes

JAMMU, Aug 23: The All J&K Senior and Junior Ranking/Selection Badminton tournament, organised by Badminton Association of J&K in collaboration with J&K Sports Council, concluded at Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium, here today.
President Hockey J&K and Member of J&K Sports Council, Rajiv Sharma was the chief guest of the event who gave away the prizes to the players.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that it is a great initiative being taken by the Prime Minister, Narender Modi for taking the sports to every nook and corner to create an atmosphere of sports, so that the talent and youth energy can be channelized in the right direction.
Dr OD Sharma, chairman BAJK, Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, Satish Gupta (Manager Indoor Complex), Dr Taran Singh, general secretary Hockey J&K, Balbir Jamwal, general secretary BAJK, DV Sharma, vice chairman, Dushyant Sharma, treasurer BAJK, Rahul Sharma and others.
Ibrahim Qureshi and Bhavdeep Singh stood winner and runner-up of the boys single under-19, while Abhijit Jasrotia and Sehdev Samyal and Ojas Suri and Thakur Ayush remained winners and runner-ups in boys double and Krshika Mahajan and Unnati Jaral clinched winner and runner-up in girls single under-19 event, besides Unnati Jaral & Krishkika Mahajan and Shrijus Sharma and Shambhavi Rajput clinched winners and runner-ups trophies respectively.
In mixed doubles, Abhijet Jasrotia & Skiedeep Kour stood winner, while Shourya Jasrotia and Mannu Billoria stood runner-up, while in women section, Skiedeep Kour remained winner, while Unnati Jaral (runner-up) and in women doubles, Krishika Mahajan and Shambhavi Rajput (winners), while Vaishnavi Sharma and Rupal Anand (runner-up).
In mixed doubles seniors, Akshay Mahajan & Rupal Anand (winners), while Vipul Saina and Unnati Jaral (runner-up) and in men’s singles, Raghav Dogra (winner), and Bhavya Sharma Sharma (runner-up).
