KARGIL, Aug 24: UT Ladakh Qazaq Kures State Championship, organized by Qazaq Kures Association Ladakh, concluded at Auditorium Hall Kargil, here today.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan was the chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhadev was the guest of honour besides, president Qazaq Kures Association Harish Kumar Tyagi, general secretary Raj Pal Singh Tyagi, Technical Director Praveen Kumar Tyagi and president Qazaq Kures Association Ladakh Mehraj Shah were present during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Khan thanked all the organizers for conducting the championship in the district. The CEC Khan hailed the huge participation of girl players in the sports and said that LAHDC Kargil along with District administration is fully committed to provide all facilities to the budding players.
He further said that many initiatives have been taken by the administration like development of Indoor Stadium Kargil along with modern equipment will be provided. “There is no dearth of talent in the Kargil as many players from Kargil have excelled at National and at International platforms,” he said.
The DC Kargil congratulated the organizers, coaches, referees and players for successfully organizing the championship. Stressing over the sportsmanship DC Kargil said for the overall physical and mental development of the students, the sports plays an important role and advised students to take part in the sports.
Later, mementoes and medals were distributed among the participants and winners. During the three day championship around 150 students were trained and also provided training to the referee.
President Qazaq Kures Association Ladakh Mehraj Shah thanked all the stakeholders, departments for making the championship a success. He also thanked LAHDC Kargil and district administration for always providing their support.
