APS Rakh Muthi emerges winner in Inter School Debate Competition

JAMMU, Aug 25: Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor organized Inter School Debate Competition with a vision to bring different schools of the area together wherein they can share their thoughts with each other and earn each other’s respect.
Principal of APS Akhnoor Geeta Devi inaugurated the event by a motivating speech to inspire and to clear any psychological hurdles that drift students from their goals and go with renewed energy and focus.
The speakers of classes IX- XII spoke eloquently on the provided topic “Every Citizen should be mandated to Perform National Public Services”.
APS Akhnoor, APS Rakh Muthi, RMG International School, Kids Planet Public School, Boys Higher Secondary School and Model Institute of Education participated to raise the sense of togetherness.
Chief guest Deputy Chairman APS Akhnoor Colonel K Mohanty also accompanied special dignitary ex Director Northern Command Col AK Sharma (Retd). Vice Principal APS, Rakesh Gupta and the Teacher Incharges Neha Uppal and Anjali Sharma of the competition were also present.
The question answer round was highlight of the event, as a volley of questions were answered confidently by both the sides, inviting counter questions which were aptly answered by witty and vivacious speakers.
Deputy Chairman APS Akhnoor, special guest Ex Director Northern Command along with the dignitaries honoured the winner school APS Rakh Muthi with the winning trophy and runners up trophy was bagged by APS Akhnoor. The first best speaker in favour of motion was Aryan Dahiya, APS Akhnoor while Parveen Singh Chib was declared as best speaker against the motion. The best interjectors of the debate competition were Nikhel Manrai of APS Akhnoor and Sania Bangotra of Kids Planet Public School Akhnoor. The entire event was anchored by Bharat and Nidhi Rani, Class XI students of APS Akhnoor.
In the end, the vote of thanks was rendered by the Vice Principal Rakesh Gupta.
