The shocking incident of the death of Aman Kachroo still haunts the mind of the people who lost his life to a senseless and brutal act of ragging by some seniors. That incident really moved the emotions of every Indian across the country and ever since, this scourge is being looked down upon with utmost severity.
It is a matter of concern that in Jammu University, there are reports of this unwarranted act of troubling an innocent in the name of fun or whatever. A few days back a scholar of Sanskrit had to undergo the ordeal and another student from the Law Department had to suffer on this count.
There are reports that one of the victims had to go in for filing a report with the Police. When ragging stands completely banned in all educational institutions, why this practice even though rare, should take place in our educational institutions?
