Mukteshi shines in Semi Classical Vocal (Solo) Competition

JAMMU, Sept 30: Mukteshi Sharma from Govt Women College, Parade, Jammu bagged the first prize in the Inter-Collegiate/Departmental Semi Classical Vocal (Solo) Competition, organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, here.
Rabjot Singh from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu and Anjusha B Sharma from Govt Women College, Gandhi Nagar were adjudged as second and third respectively.
The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Diksha from GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Kawal Jeet Singh from MBS College of Engineering and Technology.
The young participants presented “Thumaries”, “Dadras” and “Hori” etc in their melodious voice and received accolade from the audience.
Jatinder Singh, Nand Kishore Pal and Balbeer Chand Beera, were Adjudicators.
Dr Meghna Dhar, Teacher Incharge of this event welcomed the guests and briefed the participants about the rules and regulations.
The programme was compeered by Apoorva Jamwal, Secretary, Students Cultural.
Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, presented the Certificates and Mementos to the winners.
Among others, Dr Madhulika Singh, Dharampal Sharma, Assistant Registrar (SW) and students, were also present on this occasion.
The event was managed and supervised by S Gurpal Singh, Kulbhushan Thakur, Balwant Singh Slathia, Surinder Singh, R P Singh, Joginder Singh, Ram Pal, Yash Pal and Arun Kumar.
