JAMMU, Sept 9: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Jammu emerged winner of Cluster level Under-17 Kho-Kho Championship, while JNV Doda scripted wins in Under-14 and Under-19 in girl’s category, organised at JNV Gharota, here today.
The cluster level tournament commenced yesterday which culminated today wherein 158 players from eight Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) participated to identify best players for regional level games.
The opening ceremony commenced with flag hosting by the Principal of JNV Gharota, SK Bhat, followed by an oath taken by all the players to play the game in true spirit of sportsmanship.
Kuldeep Raj was invited as the chief guest of the closing ceremony. A colourful cultural programme was held that mesmerised the audience.
The chief guest gave away the prizes along with certificates to winner and runner-up teams. The chief guest appreciated the strenuous efforts put by them in the ground and declared the meet closed.
