UDHAMPUR, Oct 2: A cross-country event, “Run for Fun” was organized at Air Force Station Udhampur today as commencement of fortnight long celebrations marking the 81st Anniversary of Indian Air Force.
Over 600 air warriors and families including 250 children enthusiastically took part in the special event. The occasion was also utilized to create awareness about aerospace safety among the
Station personnel and their families.
The run was flagged off by Station Commander Group Captain DP Hirani at 0730 hours. It was conducted for children, ladies, senior citizens and air warriors under different categories. Madhu Hirani, president Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local) gave away the prizes to children and ladies. Group Captain DP Hirani gave away the prizes to the air warriors and complimented all personnel for their whole hearted participation and making the event a success.
