JAMMU, Sept 16: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has signed a pact with The Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) under the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs, for collaboration in various areas, including the offering of joint courses.
The MoU was signed today at IICA Campus, Manesar (Gurugram) by Prof B S Sahay (Director IIM Jammu) and Praveen Kumar (Director General & CEO, IICA). The MoU is intended to establish a partnership for training, education, consulting, research, and advocacy initiatives in the areas of corporate law, corporate governance, corporate communication, business innovation and entrepreneurship, business environment, public policy, inclusive and sustainable development, and any other area mutually decided by the two institutions from time to time.
It will also be offering long-term joint programs, certificate programs, short-term training programs, offering Joint PhD programs, joint seminars, conferences, workshops, collaboration for promoting entrepreneurship and incubations, and the establishment of centers of excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sahay said, “The MoU provides for IIM Jammu to recognize IICA as a research center for the purpose of conducting doctoral degree and post-doctoral fellowship. This MoU will also explore the areas of mutual interest to offer Degree Programs like MBA in Corporate Affairs, EMBA in Valuation in Blended Mode, PhD in Corporate Affairs and related areas.”
Praveen Kumar, while speaking on the occasion, said, “The indicative areas of collaboration through this MoU will surely lead to the creation of a positive, healthy environment for business innovation, excellence, entrepreneurship for a sustainable development in the nation.”
