3 drug peddlers nabbed with heroin, ganja

JAMMU, Sept 17: Bishnah and Bahu Fort Police nabbed three drug peddlers and recovered heroin and ganja from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh laid a naka at Deoli and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 5 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and nabbed him.
The arrested person was identified as Rahul Lakhotra, son of Anchal Lal of Harssa Dabbar, Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 162/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abass Jafari laid a naka at Rajiv Nagar Chowk and arrested two drug peddlers along with 7 kilograms of ganja.
The arrested persons were identified as Manish Singh, son of Jagdish Singh of Village Kanger, Kot Bhalwal, at present Nardani Kot and Rohit Singh, son of Rajesh Singh of Magowali RS Pura, at present Ward Number 10 RS Pura District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number FIR No 241/2022 under section 8/29/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
