JAMMU, Oct 3: Satchel in collaboration with Gandhi Peace Foundation, organized a 7-day workshop on the relevance of Gandhian Philosophy, which was coordinated by Dr Seema Rohmetra, here today.
The workshop began with the recitation of poems and prayers highlighting the importance of universal peace and brotherhood.
The next session was dedicated to Dr Martin Luther, in which Samiksha Sahni and Diksha Wali spoke on the life of Dr Luther and his contribution to abolish the distressing racial discrimination in United States of America.
Ahana Sadhoo, student of BSF School presented a paper on the influence of Gandhiji’s teachings on Martin Luther, which was followed by Akhil Sharma’s pictorial presentation on Gandhiji’s days in Africa.
Sneha Dhar, Vineet Gupta, Anchal, Vishal Badgal, Rajat and Surbhi Raina were prominent among speakers on the occasion.
Patron of Satchel, RK Mahaldar also spoke on the occasion, while the programme was coordinated by Akansha Tickoo, a KV student.
The workshop concluded with Gandhiji’s popular Bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Rajaram’.
Sunita Devi and Preeti Bhagat from Mishriwala served food to the participants on the occasion.
