Senior citizens, social workers take up demands with DC

UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: Senior citizens and social workers delegation met Deputy Commissioner (DC) and apprised him about the problems being faced by them including deteriorating condition of holy Devika.
The delegation demanded bringing of holy Devika under the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, parking of vehicles in Udhampur town especially in Gole Market area, conversion of old vegetable market and old residential quarters of the employees of the Medical Department into parking places, installation of dustbins, improvement of Shaheed Bhagat Singh park, provision of bridges at populated places and bringing district Udhampur under the map of National Tourism.
Deputy Commissioner gave patient hearing and assured that their demands will be considered on priority.
The delegation comprised of Swatantra Dev Kotwal, Raj Guru, Arun Parkash Gupta, RR Sharma, P Sharma, Jagdish Nargotra, Govind Ram, Shiv Ram, Sanjay Bhushan, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Bhushan Kailoo, Neeraj Dubey, Hans Raj Thakur, Arun Mehra and Vijay Kumar Nargotra.
