UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Sachin Gupta of Government Higher Secondary School Ramnagar bagged gold in Under-19 boys 100 Mtrs Race in the District Level Inter-School Under-19 Boys Athletic Meet, which concluded at Subash Stadium, here today.
177 boys drawn from 22 institutions of District Udhampur participated in the Meet, which was held under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur, who was chief guest on the valedictory function to distribute the prizes.
Earlier, Anil Kumar of HSS Garhi and Sanjeev Kumar of HSS Salmerhi clinched silver and bronze medals in 100 Mtrs sprint respectively.
Anil Kumar of HSS Garhi bagged gold in 200 Mtrs, Mukul Bhagat of HSS Udhampur in 400 Mtrs, Akash Singh of HSS Garhi in 800 Mtrs, Kalyan Singh of HSS Barola in 1500 Mtrs and Vishvjeet Singh of HSS Chanunta in 3000 Mtrs.
The gold medal in high jump went to Gourav of HSS Udhampur, in discus, Vikram Singh of HSS Barola bagged gold, while in javelin, Vikram Singh of HSS Barola again claimed gold.
Triple jump gold went to Mohd Imran of HSS Garhi, shot put gold was bagged by Anil Singh of HSS Barola, while Mukesh Raja bagged gold in long jump event.
