J&K wins gold in National Mini Football C’ship

JAMMU, Oct 5: Defeating Madhya Pradesh by three goals to two via tie-breaker in the summit clash, the Jammu and Kashmir team won gold in the National Mini Football Championship, organized by the Indian Mini Football Association, affiliated to World Mini Football Association.
Earlier, after a goalless draw in the stipulated time, the match was decided in the tie-breaker, wherein J&K prevailed over MP by (3-2).  In the semifinal, J&K defeated Maharashtra by one goal to nil (1-0), while in the pool matches, J&K got better of UP by (1:0), drubbed Chattisgarh by (2:1) and outplayed Karnataka by (3:1) goals.
The team was accompanied by Dr Brij Baloria and Arun Jamwal as coach and manager respectively.
The team: Siddarth Seth, Paramveer Singh, Vikram Choudhary,  Ambhar Raina, Ahmed Javed, Ajay Lakha, Veeneet Rawal, Manjot Singh, Nakul and Vivasvan.
