JAMMU, Oct 5: Nancy Gill from Govt College for Women, Parade, bagged the first prize for her excellent presentation, while Chetan Atri from Model Institute of Engineering and Technology and Manzoor Ahmad from Govt MAM College were adjudged as second and third, respectively in the Creative Dance (Solo) competition conducted by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu under “Display Your Talent” 2013-14 at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, here.
The other participants included Antra and Ambika from The Law School University of Jammu, Sahil Choudhary from Govt MAM College, Jammu, Shivam Bhalla from Govt SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, Nishtha Mahajan and Sudha Pawar, from Govt Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Preeti from Govt Women College, Parade, Jammu Monika Mitter from MIET, Jammu, Rashul Sanotra from MBS College of Engg and Tech, Priya Sharma from Department of Computer Science and IT, University of Jammu, Akhil Rana and Jyoti Bansal from GDC (Boys), Udhampur, Sheetal Jasrotia and Kamini Sharma from GDC, Billawar and Arjun Hans and Ashwani Singh from GDC (Boys), Kathua.
Anuradha Seth Kohli, Mitali Gupta and Bindya Tickoo were the adjudicators of the competition.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Provost Hostels (Boys), was the chief guest on this occasion who distributed the prizes among the winners.
The proceedings were conducted by Apoorva Jamwal, Secretary, Students Cultural Council.
Among others, Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Co-Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee and Aneey Mattoo, Joint Secretary, SCC were present on the occasion.
