JAMMU, Oct 2: Monica Kohli, Senior Advocate J&K and Ladakh High Court has been appointed Additional Advocate General in the Jammu Wing of High Court of J&K and Ladakh.
The order to this effect was issued by UT Government here today.
A practicing lawyer for last 23 years Monica Kohli has appeared in and handled numerous matters in various courts including Supreme Court of India and High Courts of various States and UTs as well as District Consumer Protection Tribunals.
She practiced as an advocate on Panel of Advocate General of J&K High Court in Public Service Commission (PSC) and Finance Department Government of J&K.
She is also Retainer Council of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) since 2015 and was appointed as Penal Advocate for Food Corporation of India (FCI), State Bank of India (SBI) and Jammu Development Authority, (JDA). She was also empanelled pro bono lawyer for rendering free legal aid and advice to the marginalized sections of the society and has also worked as pro bono lawyer with DLSA.
Monika Kohli was also appointed as Amicus Curiae for J&K High Court as per the directions of Supreme Court of India by J&K and Ladakh High Court during Covid pandemic.
