JAMMU, Oct 6: DIET Jammu in collaboration with Board of School Education organized a Role Play Activity, under National Adolescent Education Programme (NAEP) at Boys Higher Secondary School Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Arif Iqbal Malik, Principal DIET Jammu inaugurated the programme by lighting of the traditional lamp in a well attended function.
About 80 students of different schools of Jammu District, besides a large number of teachers, masters, lecturers and Principals attended the programme.
Through Role Play Activity, the students displayed their talent to spread the message regarding the awareness about healthy relationship among adolescents, charms and challenges of adolescents, HIV/AIDS, stigmatization and causes and impact of drug abuse.
GHSS Miran Sahib, BHSS Gandhi Nagar and GHS Pakhiian were adjudged first, second and third respectively.
Mangal Dev, FA SIE , MK Mussa, Assistant Prof Omesh Khar, HoD were the adjudicators, while Tarsem Lal, CEO Jammu presided over the function and distributed the prizes among the winners. Chief Education Officer exhorted upon the teachers and students to make aware the society about the issues related to drug abuse AIDs etc.
Principal BHSS, Gandhi Nagar, Taira Parveen was the guest of honour.
Dr Yasir Hamid Project Officer (NAEP) , BOSE Jammu gave resume of the programme while Tarsem Singh, District Programme Coordinator conducted the proceedings and Chanran Dass, Senior Lecturer presented vote of thanks.
