JAMMU, Oct 5: 777 Masters and WCC scripted wins in Saraswat Pandit Premier League (SPPL), organised by Rising Athletes of Jammu and Kashmir in association with Relief Organisation at KC Sports Ground, here today.
The first match was played between 777 Masters and Media CC. Batting first, 777 Masters scored 185 runs in stipulated 20 overs, in which Surinder Kachroo scored 52 runs off 33 balls. From the bowling side, Rupesh, Shubham and Raghav took 1 wicket each. In reply, Media CC managed only 121 runs in 20 overs on the loss of 8 wickets and lost the match by 64 runs Gurdeep Singh scored 50 runs in 38 balls. From the bowling side, Vicky took 3 wickets in his allotted 4 overs and gave 27 runs.
Surinder Kachroo was declared as man of the match.
In the second match WCC defeated Navreh Cricket Club. Batting first, Navreh Cricket Club managed to score 134 runs on the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs in which Vikas scored 39 runs and Raman made 32 runs. From the bowling side, Ravi Pandita and Akash Saproo took 3 wickets each.
In reply, WCC chased down the target in 19.3 overs on the loss of 7 wickets. Ravi Pandita was the top scorer who made 53 runs. From the bowling side, Vikas Pandita took 2 wickets. Ravi Pandita was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sabastian, Vijay and Sanjay, while the organising team members from Rising Athletes of J&K were Chander Mohan, Akshay Garoo, Amit Dhar, Sagar Mantoo and Surinder Bhat.
