JAMMU, Oct 6: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria today inspected the ongoing development works of laying the pipes in Panjtirthi and Mubarak Mandi areas falling in his constituency.
Accompanied by senior officials of NBCC, PWD and JMC, Mr Khajuria stressed upon the functionaries to ensure quality execution and sustained pace of progress on the works for early completion of the same.
He said that proper compaction must be done while executing the works to avoid sinking of the dig up portion at the later stage besides conducting various quality tests to ensure quality execution of works.
The MLA asked the PWD to blacktop the road connecting Mubarak Mandi to Panjtirthi Chowk once NBCC construction work is completed and also asked the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) officials to sanitize the areas regularly and properly in backdrop of the reported cases of dengue.
Mr Khajuria also inspected the other development works undertaken in his constituency and interacted with members of civil society and local residents.
