JAMMU, Oct 6: BJP senior leader and JMC Councilor Sanjay Baru pressed for the early macadamization and repair of lanes and roads at Talab Tillo.
Sanjay Kumar Baru during the Ward tour instructed PWD Assistant Executive Engineer Division-III Amit Sharma and Junior Engineer Salim Malik to macadamize and repair lanes at Anand Nagar, Surya Vihar, Uttam Vihar and adjoining lanes to improve the dilapidated condition of lanes and roads in Ward-41.
While interacting with the locals, Sanjay Kumar Baru pressed the department officials that the lanes and roads have suffered extensive damage in the rains. He said that the broken roads are creating nuisance for the commuters and giving rise to road accidents. He said that while the JMC is working day and night to upgrade the city infrastructure and the beautification projects are being taken up, the broken roads have become an eye sore to everyone. He said that PM Narendra Modi is ensuring that the Indian roads become the number one in the world and asked the department officials to contribute to the noble task.
Baru said that it is our prime duty to make the roads smooth and thus the department must keep repair work on priority. He prompted the officials to issue the directions to the concerned so that the early repair of the important roads can be done.
Baru also prompted the people to get their votes corrected and encouraged the new voters to register themselves in the voter lists.
Department officials patiently listened to the senior leader and assured him that the repair work for all the roads will be completed soon. He also said that the department is going to upgrade the whole road network.
