JAMMU, June 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association has released its Annual Calendar of Activities, here today.
In a press statement issued here, President of Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association Anil Gupta has said that the district level activities of Kabaddi would be conducted by the affiliate units before the participation of State teams in the coming nationals for the year 2012, adding the district championships would be conducted strictly in accordance with the rules of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.
Meanwhile, as per the Annual Calendar, the State Kabaddi Championship in boys and girls sections would be conducted in junior section at Srinagar in the month of October, while State Kabaddi Championship for the year 2012 in Junior boys and girls sections would be conducted by Pulwama District Kabaddi Association under the banner of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association.
According to Kuldeep Gupta, General Secretary, J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, the District Championships would be conducted by each district, under the aegis of State Association. At Srinagar the Championship would be held on August 6 and August 7, at Anantnag on August 11 and 13, at Pulwama from August 14 to 16, at Budgam on August 17 to 19, at Baramulla on August 10 to 12, at Jammu from August 14 to 16, at Poonch from August 23 to 25, at Kathua on August 26 and 27, at Rajouri on August 28 and 29, at Udhampur on August 29 and 30 and at Samba from August 22 to 24.
Moreover, Kuldeep Gupta said that the association has decided to conduct Lala Sudhagar Shah Memorial Kabaddi Championship from August 8 to 10, 2012, T-20 Sher-e-Kashmir Kabaddi Gold Cup from August 23 to 25, 2012, Lala Hans Raj Mahajan Kabaddi Championship from August 27 to 29, 2012, T-20 Ram Sahai Kabaddi Gold Cup from September 5 to 7, 2012, Ashok Sodhi Memorial Kabaddi Championship from September 22 to 24, 2012 and Junior State Kabaddi Championship will be conducted in the last week of Oct. 2012 at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar in Kashmir.
