UT level ITF C’ship concludes

KISHTWAR, Oct 9: The two-day J&K UT level ITF Championship concluded, wherein former MLA Sunil Sharma was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, here today.
The famer MLA gave away the prizes to the participants and organizers. He was accompanied by RK Verma (President, Indian International Taekwondo Federation) and Lalita Devi (BDC Chairperson, Palmar).
Kishtwar won the overall championship with 16 gold medals, while the first runner-up shield was won by Jammu with 10 gold medals, followed by Kashmir with 2 gold medals.
All gold medallists of this championship have been selected for the national championship, scheduled to be held at Rishikesh in December this year.
The first-ever UT level championship organized at Kishtwar was witnessed by all the juvenile personalities of Kishtwar. The chief guest assured the organizer of every help in promoting Taekwondo in the region.
A vote of thanks was given by Mukesh Thakur (President, All J&K Taekwondo association). The championship was organized by the Kishtwar Academy of Martial Arts (KAMA) under the supervision of the All J&K Taekwondo Association.
