Indian golf awards to be held on November 5

New Delhi, Oct 7:
With the popularity of the game rising in the country, India is all set to launch its first golf awards on November 5.
The Take Solutions India Golf Awards are unique because they will recognise golfers not just from the professional categories but also from the massive business golf community, acknowledge bureaucrats, celebrities who play the game and present special prizes for women, juniors, best golf courses, academies and even real estate around golf courses.
The awards, backed by title sponsor Take Solutions (that supports some Indian golfers on the European Tour) and powered by site aims to position itself as a premium event for the game.
Haryana’s Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia will be the special guests of honour at the event.
Several players from the Asian Tour and India’s home-grown champions such as Jeev Milkha Singh, Shiv Kapur, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Himmat Rai, Rahil Gangjee will grace the occasion.
The awardees will be selected by an esteemed Jury that will be meeting later in October. (UNI)
